Dress - Gemma Collins Embellished Maxi Dress £70*
Necklace - Sugar & Vice £16
Myself and maxi dresses have a love hate relationship, I love them, they generally don't like me so much. I struggle with the length, and the fit. For a plus size gal, I'm not busty, and this often means I don't fill out dresses where I should.
This dress from Evans however, is an absolute star! It is from the Gemma Collins collection, which has a beautiful mix of figure hugging dresses and floaty tops, most with beautiful spring floral prints. For me though, this dress caught my eye and stood out. A classic black dress is a must in every girl's wardrobe, and this is a stunning piece.
I got my regular size and it fitted perfectly, I'm 5ft 11 and could wear this with flats with it almost reaching the floor, so it's a great length.
The back of the dress mirrors the 'V' in the front, which I love, and it has a tie that can be left loose as I have worn it, or tied into a bow. The back is one of my favourite parts, that shape is beautiful. The material on this dress is so soft and comfortable, I was thrilled when I opened up my parcel and felt it. It's lush!
And the front! The embellished detail under the bust is a gorgeous bronze colour, and the neck line is very flattering, it actually made me look like I had a bigger bust which is suprising, but I also think it would look amazing on a bustier gal, it'll show off cleavage so well. The shoulder coverage means you can happily wear a bra to get the support you need, or in my case, the extra padding you like.
Overall, I really love this and I cannot wait to wear it! My Auntie and Uncle are renewing their vows in September, and this is perfect for that. Yay! Also, thank you Stu for helping me with the photos for this blog <3
Much love,
Kitty xxxxx
