Want That Trend are a brand new company to the plus size fashion world. Offering fast fashion and budget friendly pieces, they recently expanded their size range up to a size 32. For a new smaller company that is always an impressive achievement, and I was eager to see what their pieces were like. They had a stand at the Curve Fashion Festival and I just had to check them out. They were launching their new range with Holly Hagan which covers sizes 8-32! A celebrity range that covers such a wide range is a rarity so trying on their designs was needed.
I ended up coming away with the Hannah Black Lace Skater Dress* to review, and I have to say, I am impressed. This retails for £24.95 making it a very affordable party dress. I sized up in this as I wanted it to be a little longer, but in terms of the fit of the dress itself I really didn't need to. I just felt on me personally that little bit of extra length suited the style of the dress more. As I always point out, I am 5ft 11, so your usual size should be a great length if you are shorter than me.
It's a deep plunge style with long sleeves and a low back, so I went braless. I'm not the bustiest so I can just about get away without a bra, but with a low back converter you could still manage to wear a bra with this. The sleeves are the perfect length on me and the lace is nice and soft. With more budget brands lace can often end up scratchy and not comfortable, but it's not the case here.
This is a great party dress for the winter months, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what Want That Trend come out with next. From talking to them they aim to have every style in every size which is amazing. I'd love to see a plus size person wearing their clothes on the plus size section of the website, as currently all their clothes are modelled by very slim models, so it's hard to see how the clothes would look on a plus size body.
I have high hopes for them as a company!
Much love,

ReplyDeleteI think it's the lace detail. It's so feminine yet so punk all at the same time.

DeleteOh this looks amazing on you! I've tried a dress from there and it just didn't work on me - too short in the body. Makes me sad!
