One of the things I've been trying to do this year is push myself and wear different things. I still get a little nervous about short dresses, and I still mostly wear black. So the Pink Clove Mika Suedette Swing Dress* in tan was a good challenge.
For starters, this dress is about as short as I, at 5ft 11, could possibly wear without my butt being out. It is a totally different fabric from anything I own, and a completely 'not me' colour.
The colour really surprised me. I wasn't sure it would suit me, but I actually really like it. The length means it is definitely a dress to wear with leggings! And the fabric... it is so soft, and so lovely. It feels so luxurious. And this dress is £24. A total bargain. It is also available in black, which I might just have to get my paws on.
The sleeves are one of my favourite parts of this dress. The split in them means they flow nicely, and if you have bigger arms you don't have to worry! The 3 bands across the bust are really fun and add an extra dimension to a relatively simple dress.
I felt really cowgirl cute in this, so these butterflies from Crown & Glory and my favourite Demonia boots were the easy choice to pair with it. I think this dress could really be fun with jeans to mix up the different textures of the suedette with the denim.
Much love,
Kitty xxxxx
